Weston's "Chair"

So I wanted to post these pictures before we start packing and things get out of control crazy. We're moving in just about a week but I haven't really packed anything yet because I don't want Weston crawling all over the boxes.

Anyway, Weston has developed this new little habit of emptying out the contents of one of his toy drawers so that he can sit in it. It's so funny. 

Then plays with all his toys around him. These are some of the recent pictures I've taken.

Weston and I don't have many pictures together because I'm always the one behind the camera. On Sunday though he was being so silly I got the camera out and decided to try to take one of us. I love it. He's such a cute little guy. His jabber is becoming so close to words now it's crazy.

 He seems to understand everything I say to him and it's so helpful. But I do wish he could talk to me!

This was just a little more then 3 weeks before I had Weston. I love being pregnant but I'm not sure how I feel about being the size of a house in the middle of summer... GIANT!

We're Moving!

Well, about a week ago Mark and I decided we were going to start looking for homes since our lease was up on the apartment and he's supposed to be starting a new job at the site doing security in the next month or two. We didn't know what to do so we decided we'd better make a decision and pray about it and the Lord would let us know if it was wrong. Well, here we are a week later as home owners!! We had our inspection today and everything looks great. It's a house on the west side of town so it will be great when Mark starts out at the site. It's been completely re-done inside and out and besides some basic cleaning we can just move right in and have no hassles. Mark and I both feel extremely blessed by the way things came about and have fallen into place. We know this is where we're supposed to raise our family and we are so anxious to get moved in. We're scheduled to close on the 26th of this month so keep posted for pictures next month once we've got everything done!

Feeding Fiasco

Weston went on a little kick after his bout with the flu where he wasn't wanting to eat. He would chow down breakfast, but when we tried to give him lunch and dinner he would just shake his head. However, he wanted to snack all the day long. So Mark and I decided that wasn't okay and we needed to get him back into the habit of three meals a day. I had a minor melt down one day after Weston threw chili on the tan carpet and Mark took over. Well, the next day Mark had a melt down and decided he was just going to force Weston to eat. Go Daddy! It worked and he's been a hundred times better about eating now and is back to his old self. However, this is what I was left to clean up after the Daddy vs. Fussy battle:

It wasn't pretty but at least we know who wears the pants in the family! I just love the look of defeat on his sweet little face. He's so cute!

Flu, Flu, Go Away

So things have been a bit crazy around our house. Last Thursday Weston came down with a fever in the middle of the night that stayed around 103 for all of Thursday and Friday. I took him in and it turns out he has the flu. So we got a medicine since it was within the 48 hour window and the next day he was tons better. But he has continued to just be clingy, whiny, fussy, and not eat. Yesterday he felt warm again and today his fever is back in the high 102's. I hate seeing him like this. My little guy is super healthy and this is the sickest he's ever been. He doesn't play, eat, or smile. I wish it would just go away! Now I see why being a mom is so hard. It's not easy when you only get 4 or 5 hours of sleep a night to still do everything required of you! Anyway, hopefully he'll get better and our lives will return to normal some time in the near future.
